Dr Sheeba Theresa Varughese is a healthcare practitioner, specialising as a paediatrician (with 30 years of experience- 17 years as a specialist in CMJAH) in Parktown, Johannesburg. She runs an HIV clinic, a rare disease clinic and the general paediatric medical wards. She is involved in research and is a co-author of a number of publications and national treatment guidelines. Dr Varughese has a keen interest in educating and training medical students and registrars, imparting medical knowledge, desiring to produce well-rounded medical professionals and has been/is involved in the management of medical interns, medical officers, registrars and nursing staff.

Prof Chris Voster qualified in 1998 as a medical doctor and in 2007 as a specialist in chemical pathology. He worked in the private healthcare sector for several years before joining North-West University in 2010. Prof Vorster is currently the director of the Centre for Human Metabolomics (CHM), a DSI-funded entity with the aim of establishing sophisticated metabolomics infrastructure and expertise in South Africa that enables state-of-the-art metabolic research and diagnostics.

In addition, Prof Vorster works as a pathologist and interprets and signs out laboratory reports. His research interests are in inherited metabolic diseases, small molecule method development and nanodiagnostics.

Prof Paskal Cullufe qualified in 1983 as a medical doctor and is the head of the paediatric service of gastroenterology, neurology, endocrinology and metabolic disease at the" Mother Theresa" University Hospital Center in Tirana. He has 23 years' experience as a Lecturer in Medical Faculty and has performed practical seminars and training activities with students, postgraduate residents and paediatricians of regional hospitals and primary health care.

Prof Cullufe has about 70 publications in Albanian or international Medical journals. He was the Head of Gaucher Unit Center and has drafted new programs in paediatrics and paediatric Gastroenterology and metabolic disorders.
